Natural History Collection




The museum's natural history collection dates back to the museum's beginnings in 1871 as the Peterborough Natural History Society and Field Club. It comprises of taxidermy, birds eggs, shells, lepidoptera, fungi and a small herbarium. Some of the specimens were collected locally whilst others are part of historic collections.
